LOCAL BY DESIGN

Your data
stays with you.

Understanding your screen time shouldn’t mean handing it over.

No usage uploads

Both apps save history on your device. Android has no internet permission; the Mac tracker contains no networking code.

App activity, not app contents

No messages, websites, window titles, clipboard contents, or typed text are collected. You see time spent in apps, not what you did inside them.

You control the history

Export your records as JSON or delete a month when you choose. Nothing expires automatically.

A FEW SIMPLE STEPS

Make yourself at home.

On Android

  1. Download the signed APK when a public release is available.
  2. Open it and allow installation from the app you used to download it.
  3. Grant Usage access. Allow notifications for reports; unrestricted battery is recommended.

Install newer APKs over the existing app to keep your history.

Full Android instructions ↗

On your Mac

  1. Get the open-source Mac project from GitHub.
  2. Follow the repository’s build instructions to build and run it locally.
  3. Use Settings to enable launch at login and report notifications.

Public Mac downloads are postponed. Closing a locally built app’s dashboard keeps tracking in the menu bar.
